Debenhams Exeter Reviews

First trip into Debenhams after months of being 2020 cautious! My Cartier watch needed a minor repair. The guy in the watch section was kind, friendly and fixed it straight away. Sensible precautions topped by friendly staff made me feel both welcomed and safe. Thank you

was served today by a very rude completely uninterested young man called Sean in the menswear dept he completely ignored our request not to do the buttons up on the jacket we were purchasing as my husband wanted too wear it we asked him 5 times not to do the buttons up in the end I said ''HELLO' his response was '' well I am not going to throw it at you '' and proceeded to do all the buttons up. We then tried to lighten the awful atmosphere and tried to engage him in light banter which was met with heavy sighs and dirty looks in our direction. Maybe the fact that he has
d severe acne made him unapproachable and rude. We then went to John Lewis what a difference the young lady was polite helpful and engaging whoever does there staff training should advice Debenhams .

Very very disappointing customer service. My daughter & I visited the lingerie department as she was looking for a good foundation garment to wear underneath her simple wedding dress. No-one on the floor to ask for assistance. When she found something she thought might be suitable and took it to the changing rooms there were 3 bored looking assistants chatting to each other. They made no effort to assist or ask if she needed another size. We left. When I rang today to enquire if they had a qualified corsetiere available I was told that 'it's not part of our training'. What is the point of having a wide range of stock if you're not prepared to help the customer choose the right item for them?

We visited the store today, whilst I was looking & my partner 'leaning' (bored) I suggested that he go & sit down so that I could get down to some serious perusing .I didn't get long as the chairs have been removed! We then noticed that the chairs outside of the toilets also had been removed.Hmmm,if a lady is to do some serious shopping Debenhams need to seriously think about replacing these chairs for shop weary men.
