DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
They charged us £135 each to check our references and then refused to chase them up themselves, emailing myself and the other housemates to chase them up for Solo so basically expected us to do the job we just paid £135 for them to do! The emails were unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable
They were not prepared for my arrival after informing them of my move in date, no keys were ready and no inventory was done at all
The other housemates that were moving in at the same time were made to wait weeks to begin their tennancy as Solo had not done the nessesary work then Solo expected them to pay rent for the time they had been waiting!
It took months for our contract to arrive and although a 3 month contract was agreed, a year contract arrived and was expected to be signed
When we left we were presented with another fee to leave although we had to do all the work to find our replacements and we had not signed anything stating we needed to pay a fee to leave
When we left it took several visits and even more phone calls to get our deposit back, we were lied to constantly and told they had sent emails which never arrived and we would be called back which never happened
Even when we were leaving Solo tried desperately to money grab from our deposits by saying we owed an extra day or two due to one of the agents coming to the property earlier in the day we were moving without informing us at all, then saying as all our things wern't moved at that point we owe them money!
Please, please save yourself hasstel and pick someone else, we are with an amazing agents now and are very happy - there are some great ones out there. Happy hunting :)
