I was pretty disappointed with Hertz in Exeter. With a name as well known as theirs I expected a decent service. When I first arrived I found their "reception"; a mobile building that was uninviting, dirty, crowded and there was no-one there to greet me. I finally caught the eye of a less than enthusiastic employee and attempted to talk to him above other employees chatting away at the next desk. I wasn't told anything about the car, but the car itself was great (a Mitsubishi Mirage) and after a long weekend driving around Cornwall I only had to fill up once,which only cost around £30! When I dropped the car back no-one inspected it and I was told a receipt would be put it the post, which it wasn't. After a week I called and was told I had to go online and request one.
All in all a pretty poor service, although a better price than some others and a good little car.
