i do not recommend this vet at all my little 20 yr old cat had to be put to sleep by another vet after using wolfgars services and the meds they had given her had caused her to get a near fatal heart attack the new vets said she should not be on a high dose of the same tablet that she had been on for years as they bumped up her dose quite high and to stop all asap as i am surprised she is not dead, she was fine in that area thyroids felimazole tabs with the small amount taken for years but they insisted wolfgar on bloods costing money etc and extra tablets which was killing her she had had a pain injection which helped her as i know she had pain arthritis and she seemed happier after one i wanted her to get another every so often and take her on a regular basis but problems with a phone handler not getting back to me confirming an appointment they said had they had emergency so i asked for a call to confirm my appointment and ask some questions or if no one was there due to emergencies and as vet was quite a long way and she did not like enclosed spaces so needed as less stress as poss for her and had to get a lift in there with a friend in advance the phone handler did not phone back confirming my appointment like i had asked so i didn't go in then phoned me saying where was i umm i though it was quite urgent so was very upset i made a complaint but did ask for the owner was told they were on holiday and a very young nurse spoke to me and said she could send some pain killer to mix in with food it cost me a fortune and made her sick she went down hill fast i complained to a northern woman who says she was the wife of the owner man vet and had just had a baby she said i was unhinged and other stuff i think post natal to act like that i think and say the things she said very nasty rude woman blaming me not getting my cat tested sooner for thyroid um she didnt have a prob with thyroids i said and accused me of changing vets all the time my previous one in exeter was so good and was thinking of going back again with them but so far away if my cat ill all the time injections etc so i changed my mind as they wanted extra money to put her on there books again which i thought was unfair but they never over charged me ever they where so good never mind too far any way... a i had a very young vet who seemed very nice but obviously wasn't as with wrong meds at wolfgar the owner an older man who i met once or twice seemed so good but i never saw him again my reason for joining them he could treat my baby but i think he works mainly with farm animals his wife would not let me speak with him she said she would get police if i came round as i said i may pop over she was very crazy woman i had just moved and tried a local one/vet which was dirty and more for farm animals and not that friendly and they insisted on bloods which i refused as she was fine in that area and i had been told if fine leave so changed to wolfgar she was fine i just wanted her registered for meds worst mistake of my life my baby was being poisoned she got ill due to arthritis pain i went to another vet in tiverton nr tescos on corner by roundabout and he had senile problems and was so rude to me saying i was not looking after my cat as he had spoken to the previous one wolfgar who they new each other well for him to say what he said i am so happy i had a person with me as well to see what i was having to go through with my ibaby of 20 he tried to charge me a fortune and i refused as i had phoned as just needed her registered and this would not be more than 20 pounds approx and the price of meds felimazole he said unless i paid nr 100 i could not have any meds the bloke was barking mad i left telling him he was mad and senile as he couldn't remember names of things when we were there so i went to another vets asap and was told to stop the tablets asap she should be dead being on that much and the other stuff was no good as it made her sick and bring her back in two weeks she was so ill and was bloating so much over a few days /week i asked to book her in to be put to sleep asap as she was suffering and a heart attack was about to happen any time ,i took her in she was not all there bless her and i kissed her and held her to say good bye it was all done so well the vet said she would have died that day as so ill and agreed she needed put to sleep asap i even tried going to a animal person who specialises in arthritis but needed a letter from a vet first or they could not do a treatment the law but wolfgar refused well the nutty woman did and was all too late when found a fantastic honest vets very sad and very stressfull made me ill and killed my little cat i had treasured for 20 years
