Not only a good musician, but a great teacher and a nice guy. Honiton 14 Dec 2012 I found David to be a first class tutor. My musical styles are quite broad and David was able to cater for this quite happily. She is playing songs she enjoys rather than only working on theory. It has meant a renewed interest in practice rather than me having to remind her to do it. I would highly recommend David. He has adapted and reflected my son’s musical tastes (rock, folk, blues, thrash metal) into each lesson, but he has also got him through his grades! He studied Rock school grades and was successful in the examination he was prepared for by Mr Bailey. The tuition was tailored to my son's interest and needs and was fundamental in his progress as a guitarist. Initially he taught him electric guitar but as my sons interests have broadened, he is now teaching him classical. My son has been inspired by David to constantly improve his playing and has been given lots of practical tools and encouragement over the years. He also wrote regularly in a practice notebook and gave clear written feedback so it was easy to see how to encourage useful practice at home to help him to progress.
