Uneducated staff, from bartender to manager! Came back to Tiverton where I usedt to live and after 10 years decided to go to Remedies with a friend for a few drinks. Having drunk a couple pints of Fosters my friend offered to get another round and this time we decided to go for a couple pints of Heineken. My friend ordered these and just after his first sip he mentioned to me that the beer tasted strange, it was quite unpleasant in fact, both pints! Strait after I called the girl who served us and explained that these didn't taste right, she told me that she would get someone. Another bartender came, gentleman with glasses and beard and started to excuse it due to the girl being new in the job. ...I asked him of we could exchange the pints for Fosters instead. To my astonishment he told me that the beers we had ordered were Fosters and said that they were out of Heineken! And just to top it up he told me that he heard me ordering it and that I asked for Fosters, a clear lie, my friend was the one who placed the order (and we look nothing alike)! I asked him to speak to the manager and he told me to speak to one of the security guys if I wanted to complain. I then went to speak to the closest gentleman, explained the situation, he then took both pints with him and went somewhere. After a while he came back with both same pints and told me that the manager said that there was nothing wrong with it. Clearly not happy with the resolution I asked him where I could raise a complaint. He said some website's address, I reached for my phone and started to write...he left...after few minutes of waiting I saw him and asked again for the address , no address given! Somehow manager lady came, explained again and she said its normal they taste different, they were Heineken! I then mentioned that I had been told there was no Heineken, and having had enough of complaining I asked all I wanted was for the pints to be exchanged for Fosters. After this, she didn't say anymore and exchanged the beers!
