Visited this salon last Friday for a cut and colour , they were very friendly and welcoming , but were a bit rushed as two of the staff had phoned in sick that day. I chose the colourI wanted and this was put on my hair and I was then given a coffee and left for about 25 mins , it was checked and briefly brushed at the top and I was then left for about half an hour when it was rinsed off and some toner applied to the ends.It was then dried , cut and hair straighteners used. The colour looked good and I was pleased when I left. The next morning I woke to find hair all over my pillow , I washed my hair as I usually wash it daily , that's when the problems began, my hair was like straw despite using a good conditioner and as I dried it my hair was like candy floss and totally unmanageable, there was what looked like a big chunk of my hair missing. I was naturally very upset and rang the salon, the lady who answered the phone was rather curt but did call the stylist to the phone. When I explained to her she suggested I come in and they would take a look. My husband and I turned up an hour later and was greeted by the woman who had answered the phone , she was not very pleasant and called over the manager who took a look briefly over the desk I might add and I was told to come back in an hour as they were busy and she would deep condition it and trim the ends. Reluctantly I agreed , what else could I do!! I came back after an hour and the woman who was on the desk sat me in a chair round the corner out the way of everyone and after 10 mins instructed me to go over to the basins where she put some conditioner on my hair wrapped a wet warm towel round my head and told me they would wash it off in 15 mins. Not a comfortable position to be left with my head back resting on the edge of a basin !! However the manager came over after about 5 mins and it was rinsed off. She then dried it very quickly , trimmed it and used the straightners. It did look better than when I had walked in , as I left she gave me a free pot of conditioner. Since then I have had the same problem every day with my hair, it is still totally unmanageable and a complete mess when I try to do it myself, this is causing me a lot of distress and has knocked my confidence considerably. I really wish I had never walked into Allure hair and beauty.
